I was born so long ago
\nbetween some forgotten wars
\ntimes were different then I know
\nit’s the one thing that’s for sure<\/p>\n
There were cows across the road
\nI can still feel the dairy smell
\nwhere it’s only houses now
\nand they stretch all the way to hell<\/p>\n
and back then I never thought
\nI would ever hit the road
\nbut before I knew what was what
\nthere was nowhere else to go

\nto find this place called home
\nI don’t know where it is
\nand I don’t know where I have to go<\/p>\n

I saw the world there’s a lot to see
\nand sure I was impressed
\nlots of hope lots of fear
\nand lots of girls undressed<\/p>\n
lots of bar rooms lots of dreams
\nlots of lifelong friends
\nlots of pals you’ll always love
\nand never see again<\/p>\n
