We ran through the summer night
\nit was hot and it was black
\nwe ran until we were all alone
\nand didn’t even know the way back<\/p>\n

\nthat summer we were one
\nwhen I look back I start to cry
\nto think of what is gone<\/p>\n
A storm came up from the south real fast
\nand lightning lit the rain
\nI looked in her eyes for a moment
\nand then it was dark again<\/p>\n
Our hands entwined and then our tongues
\nwe were soaking wet
\nwe made our way to the old Hansen barn
\nand there our souls met<\/p>\n
I woke up the next morning
\nand she slept by my side
\nthe sunlight poured through the hayloft door
\nand I just started to cry<\/p>\n
I cried cause she looked so pretty lying there
\nI cried because I loved her so
\nI cried cause I knew she was the only one
\nand I cried cause I knew I was gonna go<\/p>\n
